Reconciliation, also known as Penance or Confession, is a sacrament in the Catholic Church. It’s a practice through which individuals confess their sins to a priest in a confidential setting. The priest, representing God’s mercy, offers absolution if the individual is genuinely contrite and intends to amend their life. This sacrament emphasizes repentance, confession, satisfaction, and forgiveness, reestablishing the individual’s relationship with God and the Church community.
